1. Using OpenCT
By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
- You must be 16 or older.
- Keep your phone number and login details secure.
- Use your real name and genuine profile photo.
- One account per person.
2. What You Can't Do
- Post hate speech, harassment, threats, explicit, or illegal content.
- Spam group chats or send unsolicited promotions.
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the app.
- Create fake events, fake bookings, or impersonate others.
- Resell tickets at inflated prices.
3. Event Bookings & Payments
- Tickets are final once booked. Refund policy is set per-event by the organizer.
- Payments processed securely via Cashfree. We don't store card/UPI details.
- Event cancelled by organizer → full refund within 7 business days.
- No-shows don't get refunds.
4. Event Group Chats
- Every event creates an in-app group chat for booked attendees + organizers.
- Be kind. Be relevant. Keep conversations event-related.
- Admins can remove members who violate guidelines.
5. User Content
You own what you post. By posting in OpenCT, you grant us a license to display it to other users. We don't use your content for external advertising.
6. Account Deletion
Delete anytime from Settings. 30-day recovery window before permanent erasure.
7. Service Availability
We work hard on uptime but can't guarantee 100%. We're not liable for missed events, lost messages, or other outage consequences.
8. Limitation of Liability
OpenCT connects you with third-party events. We are not responsible for event quality, safety, or conduct. Use common sense — public places, trusted friends, trust your instincts.
9. Changes to Terms
Significant updates announced in the app 7 days before taking effect.
