1. What We Collect
When you use OpenCT, we collect:
- Account info: name, phone number, email, profile picture.
- Event activity: events you book, tickets purchased, attendance history.
- Location: GPS coordinates to show events near you (with your permission).
- Device info: device type, OS version, app version, crash logs.
- Messages: in-app chat messages inside event groups.
2. How We Use It
- To show you relevant events in your city.
- To process bookings and send confirmations.
- To connect you with attendees in event group chats.
- To send event reminders and important updates.
- To improve the app (anonymous usage analytics).
3. What We Don't Do
- We don't sell your data. Ever. Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
- We don't share your phone number with other users.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
4. Who We Share Data With
- Payment processor (Cashfree) — for event ticket payments.
- SMS provider (MessageCentral) — for login OTPs.
- Event organizers — your name & ticket count only, for check-in.
- Legal authorities — only if required by law.
5. Your Rights
- Access: see all data we have about you.
- Delete: delete your account from in-app Settings. 30-day recovery window, then permanent deletion.
- Export: email us for a JSON copy of your data.
- Opt-out: disable notifications, location, or emails anytime.
6. Data Security
HTTPS encryption in transit, encryption at rest. Passwords never stored in plain text. Strict internal access controls.
7. Children
OpenCT is for users 16 years and older.
8. Changes to This Policy
Significant changes will be announced in the app or via email at least 7 days in advance.
