Organizer Agreement

This agreement covers hosting on openCT. How we handle your identity documents, bank details and the attendee data you receive is set out in the Host Privacy Policy.

1. Starting out

• You need a phone number we can verify and a name to put on your gatherings. That is the whole signup.
• There is no charge to sign up and no charge to list a gathering.
• You must be 16 or older and use your real identity.
• You can publish free gatherings straight away, with no documents.

2. Verification — only if you charge

To sell tickets we need a one-time verification: your PAN and a government photo ID. This is what allows us to pay your earnings out to you and to meet our own tax reporting obligations.

• Running free gatherings requires no verification at all.
• Documents are encrypted in storage and visible only to our compliance team.
• They are never shown on your public page and never shared with attendees.
• We may ask for more information if a verification cannot be completed.

3. Your gatherings

• Gatherings are reviewed before they appear publicly. Approval is usually quick, but it is not automatic.
• You are responsible for actually running the gathering you advertise — the time, the place, and what you promised.
• Describe it accurately. Listings that mislead attendees may be removed.
• If you cancel, you are responsible for telling your attendees and for refunding them.
• You must have the right to use any photos, video or music you upload.

4. Fees and charges

• Free gatherings cost you nothing.
• There is no charge to sign up, and no monthly or listing fee.
• If your arrangement changes, we agree it with you first — it does not change quietly.
• Payment gateway charges and applicable taxes, where they apply, are shown in the same place.

5. Getting paid

• Your earnings become eligible 24 hours after the gathering ends. The delay exists so refunds and disputes can settle first.
• Settlements are released manually by the openCT team, not instantly by machine. We aim to be prompt; we do not guarantee a fixed payout date.
• We pay to the bank account on your profile. Make sure the account holder name matches your PAN, or the transfer can fail.
• We can hold a settlement while a dispute, chargeback or suspected fraud is being looked into.
• What you receive is your ticket sales less refunds, coupon discounts, anything agreed under section 4, and applicable taxes. Your dashboard shows this gathering by gathering.

6. Refunds and cancellations

• You set the refund approach for your gathering and are responsible for honouring it.
• If you cancel a gathering, attendees are entitled to a refund.
• Refunds already paid out to you may be recovered from later settlements.

7. Attendee data

• You receive attendee details so you can run your gathering. Use them only for that.
• Do not sell attendee data, and do not add people to unrelated marketing lists.
• Handle it as described in our Host Privacy Policy.

8. Ending things

• You can stop hosting at any time. Money already owed to you for completed gatherings is still owed.
• We can suspend or remove a host account that breaks these terms, misleads attendees, or puts people at risk.
• If we suspend an account, we will settle any legitimate earnings that are not in dispute.

9. Changes

We may update this agreement. If a change materially affects fees or payouts we will tell hosts before it takes effect. Continuing to host after that means you accept it.
